Rs 10 Crore Worth Drugs Seized; 12 Arrested. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Special Operations Team (SOT) and Cyberabad police in a joint operation on Monday raided two chemical firms and seized 185,6 kg of amphetamine, 69 kg of Epherine drug and raw material.
Hyderabad: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Special Operations Team (SOT) and Cyberabad police in a joint operation on Monday raided two chemical firms and seized 185,6 kg of amphetamine, 69 kg of Epherine drug and raw material. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth Rs 10 crore. As many as 12 persons were also arrested.
The firms which were raided were Sai Priya Chemicals at Bacharam village of Hayatnagar mandal and Gunasai Life Sciences Private Limited in Dharmojigudem village, Choutuppal mandal in Nalgonda district.
Two cars and Rs 2 lakh in cash were also recovered from the arrested persons, idenftied as Fayaz Ahmed Rasool Sheikh, Sameer Chandrasekhar Pinjar, Hashim Rabiul Sheikh of Maharashtra, Md Ismail, P Srinivas of Hyderabad, Karikalan of Chennai, Sunil Singh Sardar of Gujarat, Md Irfan Ansaz, Sayyad Vazeerulla Pasha, Aadil Ansari, Pappe Krishtaiah and Dayanand Manik Mudannar. The gang was caught by SOT team led by OSD, Ashok Kumar.
According to police, Fayaz came in contact with one Rafiq of Maharashtra, owner of Meera organic factory. With an intention to make easy money, the duo resorted to manufacturing prohibited narcotics for a couple of months. Later, Fayaz got arrested by NCB and served a jail term where he met Sunil Singh, a drug dealer. After being released from jail, the duo took two reactors on rent in Hyderabad and obtained raw materials from Karikalan, Sameer and others and prepared Ephedrine and Amphetamine drug.
