Film director booked for sexual harassment
The Jubilee Hills police registered a case against an assistant director of Tollywood on Sunday on charges of sexual harassment of a young film artiste, who earlier worked with him in a movie.
Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police registered a case against an assistant director of Tollywood on Sunday on charges of sexual harassment of a young film artiste, who earlier worked with him in a movie. According to police, the 23-year-old victim hailing from Khammam district, got introduced to B Phani Kiran alias Sunny, 30, and a resident of Indiranagar in Jubilee Hills about one-and-a-half years ago. Since then he started seeking sexual favours from her for a good role in his upcoming movie. “In the early morning of Sunday, he barged into the house of victim and attempted sexual assault,” said Sub-Inspector K Veerabadra Kumar. A case was registered basing on the victim's complaint and the police began investigation. The accused was booked under Section 354, 354 (A), 323, 506 and 448 of IPC.
