Girl ends life in school hostel

Eluru (West Godavari): An eighth class student from Bihar, Krithi, studying in a private school at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district allegedly committed suicide on Monday by hanging in a bathroom of the school hostel.

She was found hanging, as a search was launched after she failed to attend hockey practice.

The school management claimed that sending her to a hospital did not help although the student was found breathing. It said she had resorted to the desperate act because of ill-health.

However, doubts are being expressed whether it is a case of suicide or murder, as Krithi’s legs could touch the bathroom floor. Her parents in Bihar have been informed. The police registered a case.
