Two persons have been arrested on charges of cheating unemployed youngsters promising them jobs. Local ASP Ambu Rajan told the media on Sunday that the duo---Ebenazer of Pulivendula and Sridhar of Proddatur---had collected Rs 20 lakh from several youngsters after setting up an NGO, named AP Pragathi Vidya Mission, in Vempalle mandal centre. They renamed the organisation as AP Rural Poverty Alleviation Project Directorate and resorted to cheating of job aspirants.

They renamed the organisation as AP Rural Poverty Alleviation Project Directorate and resorted to cheating of job aspirants. The duo claimed that they were government officials. Those cheated include 500 youth across the district. Each is believed to have paid Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.5 lakh for securing jobs.
