Traffic crackdown: 269 booked for violations

The Cyberabad police booked as many as 269 cases against violators of motor vehicle rules during a special intensive drive conducted at Outer Ring Road (ORR). As a part of the drive conducted from March 28 to April 3, four patrolling vehicles have been pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad. A total of 269 cases were booked.

As a part of the drive conducted from March 28 to April 3, four patrolling vehicles have been pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad. A total of 269 cases were booked.
The authorities collected penalties to a tune of Rs 2, 16, 700. The total number of cases reported and fine amount collected till April 3 was 3398 and Rs 27, 36, 800 respectively, a release said. The police requested public to adhere to rules made for ORR and call on 040-23002424 /8500411111 (Cyberabad Traffic Police Control Room) in case of any emergency.
