Mechanic dies after car falls off jack

A mechanic was killed on Tuesday after the car he was working on slipped off a jack and landed on his chest in Vanasthalipuram. According to the police, Lakshman, 28, was a mechanic at a private garage and was working under a vehicle at Auto Nagar in Vanasthalipuram area when the car slipped off the jack and fell onto his chest resulting instant death. Police have registered a case against the garage owner.
