Three taken into custody in Uppal gang-rape case. The Uppal police arrested three persons for allegedly kidnapping and gang raping a 17-year-old girl.

Hyderabad: The Uppal police arrested three persons for allegedly kidnapping and gang raping a 17-year-old girl. The accused, K Ravi, of Chengicherla, allegedly took the victim to his relative’s house at Bharat Nagar Colony in Uppal on May 20 where his other two friends – Kasturi Laxman and A Suresh- joined him and took turns and sexually exploited her. The incident came to light when the victim’s parents lodged a missing complaint with the police.
The accused who befriended the victim, a resident of Boduppal, lured her to accompany him to his relative’s place. Once the duo reached the place, his other two friends joined him and forced themselves on her. She was threatened with dire consequences if she revealed anything, according to sources. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 376(g) and 363(Kidnap) of the IPC based on the complaint made by the victim's parents.
