Hyderabad: The City Cyber Crime Police have busted an organised job racket on Saturday and arrested four persons from Banjara Hills. They lured unemployed youth by creating a website in the name of ‘Gramin Swa Rojgar Yojana’, where prospective applicants were ‘offered’ Central government jobs.

According to police, Delhi-based persons namely Ramesh Singh and Rakesh Singh have created a website, as an undertaking organisation of Central government. In April 2015, they gave wide publicity through online jobsites, and also local Telugu newspapers stating that there are 2300 vacancies of various posts such as Panchayat Surveyor, Block Development Surveyor, District Development Surveyor, State Development Surveyor, and offered salaries ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000.

They also rented small premises at Road No.11 Banjara Hills and appointed Vijayanand, resident of Dilsukhnagar as incharge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States and also recruited two women staff namely Saarika and Padmapriya as Tele Callers. Upon seeing the advertisements, thousands of unemployed youth sent their resumes to the Hyderabad office and approached the office in-charge Vijayanand, who conducted interviews of job-seekers with the help of two women staff and gave appointment orders after collecting Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh.

They also convinced the unemployed youth that these jobs are permanent and they need to bribe the higher-level officials at Delhi. Vijayanand also recruited four consultants Mobin, Zakir, Venu and Kushal to bring unemployed youth with false promise of providing permanent government jobs. Similarly, four persons namely Ravi Naik, Ramchandra Naik, Suryanarayana and M A Raoof also acted as agents to lure the unemployed.

Basing on the complaint lodged by Ram Ganesh who attended an interview at their office, the police swung into action. He was lured and convinced to pay a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. Ravi Naik, Ramchandra Naik, Suryanarayana and M A Raoof have been arrested by police who also seized two laptops, two computer CPUs, one printer and bundles of bio-data forms of applicants from the premises of the office. Special parties were formed to nab the absconding.
