Hyderabad: The Humayunnagar police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a fake visa consultancy racket with the arrest of two Somalis for allegedly making fake documents and selling them to those seeking visa. Police seized 12 rubber stamps, UNHRC issued refugee cards, fake stay visas, a laptop, a passport and other documents from their possession.


The arrested were Abdi Rahmaan Ibrahim Libaan, 25, staying in Humayunnagar and Abdirahman Abukar Haji Osman, 22, staying in Masab Tank, for allegedly making fake stay visas and other documents. On a tip-off, police apprehended Abdirahman Abukar near NMDC, Masab Tank on Tuesday around 4.45 pm and leads given by him led to the arrest of prime accused Abdi Rahman Ibrahaim at his residence and seized incriminating material such as fake rubber stamps, seals, etc.Abdi Rahmaan Ibrahim was reported to be a refugee who came to India in December 2009.


He was neither having a valid passport nor had a legal document to stay in India. While Abdirahman Abukar came to Hyderabad in October 2009. He joined CCEFS, Osmania University for English course. Later he joined Nizam College and completed his B.Sc in 2013 after that he went to Somalia and stayed there for four months. Now he was pursuing MBA from St Mary’s Group of Institutions, DCP(West) A Venkateshwar Rao said adding that they were produced before the court
