Jangaon (Warangal): A 17- year- old girl student was allegedly gang-raped late in the night on Tuesday near Lingala Ghanapur in the district. The girl is an Intermediate student at Station Ghanapur. The incident came to light when the police personnel on night patrol spotted the lonely girl at Raghunathpally bus stop. The police found her standing in a daze. When the policemen consoled her, she broke into tears and narrated the horrifying incident of gang-rape committed on her. According to Jangaon Deputy Superintendent of Police Kura Surender, the police investigations had identified the perpetrators of the gang-rape as Mohammed Aleem and his three friends. The incident took place at an isolated location between Lingala Ghanapur – Nellutla villages. The police launched manhunt for the culprits.
Allem, an electrician, promising to take on his bike to Station Ghanapur, on Tuesday evening, took her to an isolated place at Linghala Gahanapur. There he made her drinking a soft drink laced with alcohol and assaulted her sexually. The girl student was sent to medical examinations. A case was booked at Linghala Ghanpur police station.
