The custom officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport arrested a passenger from Dubai for carrying 3 kg of gold in the form of biscuits. They seized the gold and arrested the passenger. According to the sources, the accused arrived at Shamshabad airport in an Emirates flight from Dubai on Tuesday and was identified by the customs officials when he was walking unusually towards exit after collecting his baggage.

When checked, the baggage of the accused was clear, but his shoes were weighing more than usual. When the officials checked his shoes, they found gold biscuits weighing about three kg concealed in them. The air passenger hailing from Hyderabad was arrested by the officials for trying to smuggle the metal, the sources said.
