Cops take 2 students into custody
The police on Tuesday took two persons into custody on charges of indulging in malpractices during Telangana State EdCET examination. The EdCET convenor lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.. According to the police, the convenor, in his complaint, stated that Krishnakanth and Linga Swamy, who came from Nizamabad, had indulged in malpractices during EdCET examinations.

Hyderabad: The police on Tuesday took two persons into custody on charges of indulging in malpractices during Telangana State EdCET examination. The EdCET convenor lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.. According to the police, the convenor, in his complaint, stated that Krishnakanth and Linga Swamy, who came from Nizamabad, had indulged in malpractices during EdCET examinations. The photographs and names of the first and second rankers were not correctly furnished.
Following this, the Convenor approached the Central Crime Station police in Hyderabad and lodged a complaint, stating that Krishnakanth and Linga Swamy, who secured first and second rank respectively in the EdCET examination, could have indulged in malpractices and sought thorough investigation into the case.
The CCS police, who investigated the case, found that the scam had begun from the time when filling of application forms by the candidates happened. The police suspected that a proxy could have written the examination in place of Linga Swamy. The police suspected foul play in the case of Krishnakanth too. The police took the duo into custody for interrogation. Sources said the police would probably disclose the details of the case on Wednesday.
