Hyderabad: The Amberpet police arrested three persons on charges of killing a pensioner at her home and stealing gold ornaments, while one of the accused was charged with Necrophilia (Involving in sexual act with a corpse).

On September 15, at 10 pm, the police received a complaint from M Radhika (33) of MCH Colony in Amberpet, stating that her mother was killed by unknown persons, who also stole gold ornaments from her home. The complainant suspected the auto driver who regularly takes her mother to Vanasthalipuram to collect pension.

P Madhu, 33 (electrician), Shaik Shareef, 25 (auto driver) and G Sri Ramulu, 45 (labourer) all from Amberpet, were arrested by the police for killing the complainant’s mother.

East Zone DCP Dr V Ravinder said that the accused Shareef, used to regularly take the woman to Vanasthalipuram to withdraw the pension. As usual, on the day of incidence, deceased Suguna hired the auto and withdrew the family pension from APCOB.

After dropping Suguna at her home, Shareef left the place. Later, as planned earlier, Shareef, Madhu and Ramulu entered the house of the complainant and strangulated her to death. After Suguna breathed her last, accused Madhu had sex with the body of the woman and then fled away with the gold ornaments she was wearing, the DCP said.

DCP Ravinder said that the investigators have recovered two gold chains, two gold bangles, a pair of ear tops, one gold ring and other ornaments all weighing about 17.9 tolas. Also, three mobile phones and Rs 20,000 cash from the accused persons were recovered.

The police seized an auto rickshaw, a motorcycle and three mobile phones used by the accused during the act of offense. The accused persons Madhu, Shareef, and Ramulu were produced before the Court for judicial remand, he added in a press note.
