An unemployed man was arrested by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department for sending abusive and derogatory mails to his former colleagues about their wives.

Hyderabad: An unemployed man was arrested by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department for sending abusive and derogatory mails to his former colleagues about their wives.

The CID informed that a complaint was received from an employee of Adama India Pvt Ltd, stating that he and his colleagues were receiving obscene, derogatory and threatening mails against them and their wives from unknown emails.

As part of the investigation, the officers collected data from Yahoo and Rediff and traced the accused B Venkat Chowdary to Vijayawada and arrested him.

During interrogation, the accused confessed that he had earlier worked in the company for some ime and was not satisfied with the behavior of his superiors and colleagues.

In March, he was expelled from the company for frequently running into the management. Frustrated over losing the job, the accused wanted to take revenge on his colleagues and superiors.

In the process, he went to an internet centre at Vijayawada and created fake mail ids and sent obscene mails to his former colleagues from his son’s laptop. Upon arrest, the accused was produced before the court for judicial remand on Thursday.
