A 21-year-old pregnant woman became a victim of chain-snatching on Monday at Vanasthalipuram. According to sources, K Radhika, a housewife from Jahangir Nagar, went to a nearby hospital for a check up along with her friend.

While returning, two masked persons came on a speeding bike in the opposite direction and snatched the two-tola gold chain which Radhika was wearing. As the robber dragged the chain forcibly,
Radhika fell on the road and suffered bruises. A case has been booked by the Vanasthalipuram Police, based on the complaint lodged by the victim.
