Hyderabad: The Task Force police of Hyderabad busted a fake educational consultancy racket and arrested the prime accused, who had been sending hundreds of students to study abroad by providing fake visa certificates.

The sleuths of East Zone Task Force conducted raids on Pacific Education and Overseas Careers, located at Masab Tank on Wednesday, and arrested Mir Amer Ali Khan, owner of the company and seized huge hundreds of forged documents pertaining to various nationalised banks, chartered accountants, advocates and foreign universities.

Accused Ali Khan, resident of Nanal Nagar, had completed MBA and started Pacific Education and Overseas Careers in 2009. He used to collect passports of the aspirants who wanted to study abroad and prepare fake documents necessary to get admission in to foreign universities, said Task Force Additional DCP N Koti Reddy.

The accused had sent the forged documents mostly to North Western Polytechnic University, Findlay University and American College of Commerce and Technology in USA and some universities in UK and Australia. On receiving confirmation of admission of a student, the visa will be issued by the respective country. For each admission at a university, the accused receives $ 500 to $ 1,000 as commission, the police said.

In the last six years, he helped over 300 students from Hyderabad to study abroad using fake documents by collecting Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakh from each student.
