2 dead, 5 injured in mishap
Two persons were dead and five others injured when the jeep in which they were travelling overturned at Kothapalli of Peddapalli mandal on Monday afternoon. According to the police, Narayana (50), resident of Challur of Veenavanka mandal, along with 12 others of the same village went to Kothapalli to attend a wedding in the morning.
Karimnagar: Two persons were dead and five others injured when the jeep in which they were travelling overturned at Kothapalli of Peddapalli mandal on Monday afternoon. According to the police, Narayana (50), resident of Challur of Veenavanka mandal, along with 12 others of the same village went to Kothapalli to attend a wedding in the morning.
During their return journey, the jeep overturned at around 4.30 pm. Narayana died on the spot while Bhumaiah (48) breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Peddapalli hospital. Another person, who received severe injuries, was shifted to Karimnagar government hospital as his condition was deteriorated.
Other injured were admitted in Peddapalli area hospital. A total of 13 persons were travelling in the vehicle at the time of accident. Police registered a case and shifted the bodies for postmortem.
