During early hours on Friday, a mini bus carrying school children moved down a pedestrian who was waiting to board a bus to go to his room. B Sai Prakash (21), a native of Karimnagar district was working as apprentice at VST and was staying in a rented house near Osmania University.

At about 7.30 am, Prakash was waiting to board a bus near Vidyanagar bus stop to go to his residence after completion of night duty. At the same time, a mini bus carrying students of different schools in Vidyanangar, was also travelling on the same road. The bus rammed into the bus stop and hit Prakash after the driver lost control over it. With severe injuries, he collapsed and died on the spot.

Nallakunta police said bust hit Prakash directly, killing him instantly. After hitting him, the bus drew further and damaged an electric pole. However, none of the kids in the bust were hurt in the incident. A case has been booked against the absconding bus driver and investigation is on, said inspector P Mahender Reddy.

In another accident at Hayathnagar, three youngsters, all friends died after their car hit the divider and crashed into an RTC bust which was coming in the opposite direction. According to the police, Akram (24), Naresh (23) and Suresh (23), all residents of LB Nagar along with three other friends went to Nalgonda in a car (AP 28 BP 2929) on Thursday to attend a friend’s marriage.

Akram, who was driving the car in return journey, has lost control over the vehicle near Anjapur village and hit the divider on the road. The speeding car jumped in the air and crashed into an RTC bus (TS 04 Z 0155) that was coming in the opposite direction. The bus was found to be belonged to Munuguru depot and was heading to the depot from Hyderabad. Akram, Naresh and Suresh, suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot, while their three friends suffered minor injuries.
