Chain-snatcher, accomplices convicted

Notorious chain-snatching offender Syed Sayeed Hussain Lamba (27) of Jahanuma and his accomplices Mohammed Abdul Khaleel (27) of Jahanuma, Mirza Azmath Ali Baig (22) of Bahadurpura and Shaik Ahmeduddin (24) of Rein Bazaar were convicted by the Seventh Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court with an imprisonment for a period of 18 months.

The Santoshnagar police on Monday produced the four accused persons in connection with a chain-snatching offense at Santoshnagar in 2014. After conducting trials, the court convicted the accused with simple imprisonment for a period of 18 months.
