Mother ends life along with three sons
Four persons of a family committed suicide by jumping into Upputeru in Amaravilli village of U Kothapalli mandal in East Godavari district on early hours of Thursday. Initial reports cite health issues as a reason for the suicide.

Ragala Bhu Lakshmi (45) and her three sons Prabhu Prakash (25), Anil Kumar (19) and Prema Sagar (15) committed suicide by jumping into Upputeru, as they were unable to get the sons’ kidney ailments treated. Youngest son of Bhu Lakshmi, Prema Sagar was diagnosed with kidney related ailment and the family’s financial position was precarious to get him treated.
Meanwhile, other sons Prabhu Prakash and Anil Kumar were also diagnosed with kidney ailments. With these developments, Bhu Lakshmi decided to take extreme step along with her sons.
She reportedly told her husband Ramu that she would end her life along with her children. Police said that in the early hours of Thursday, Bhu Lakshmi and her sons consumed pesticide, tied themselves to one another with a rope and jumped into Upputeru.
