Hyderabad: A 28-year-old PhD scholar from University of Hyderabad was caught at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with a live bullet in his baggage. The student has been detained for questioning.

The person, identified as Thungdemo N Yanthan (28), was going to Dhimapur in Nagaland in an Indigo flight via Kolkata. During security search, a bullet used in 7.62 SLR gun was found in a pouch concealed in his baggage.

The RGIA police said Yanthan was taken into custody for questioning after the security personnel found a live round with him. The police booked a case under the Arms Act
