Student robbed by teacher

Eluru: The parents of a seven-year-old child, Monica, staged a dharna in front of a private English Medium School at Nawabpet on Tuesday, demanding action against the Management of the school. They alleged that school teacher Madhavi gave sleeping pills to their child in school and stole her earrings.

The parents immediately took her to a doctor who declared that the child had been drugged. The irate parents questioned the Management about the incident, which denied any wrongdoing.
The parents then staged a dharna along with people from their area in front of the school. Police reached the place and pacified the crowd. Monica’s parents called off the dharna after the management agreed to pay compensation towards the treatment of the girl.
