Endowments official in ACB net
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the house of Endowments Department Deputy Commissioner K Vijay Sagar Babu at Nunna here on Thursday and seized assets worth Rs 50 crore.
Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the house of Endowments Department Deputy Commissioner K Vijay Sagar Babu at Nunna here on Thursday and seized assets worth Rs 50 crore.
Acting on information that Vijay Sagar Babu amassed disproportionate assets, the ACB officials conducted simultaneous raids at seven places.
They raided Babu’s house in Nunna, his mother-in-law’s house at Surampalli near Gannavaram, and houses of his relatives in Macherla, Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam.
According to ACB DSP Rama Devi, Sagar Babu has four acres of land, gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore, one G+1 house, two flats and six plots in various places. He also has six lockers in banks at Nunna and Srisailam, where he stored gold in the form of biscuits.
He was taken into custody for further interrogation. It should be noted that Sagar Babu was waiting for posting, as he was relieved from the post of the executive officer of Srisailam Temple, two months ago.
