Four member gang arrested for theft
The Bodhan police on Wednesday recovered 24 tolas of gold, one kg silver and Rs.5,000 cash involved in last month’s theft in the house of Palakurthi Sayanna in the town with the arrest of habitual offenders Yerukala Ilu alias Ashok, Lakshmi, Bingi Bayanna and Yenkavva.
Bodhan: The Bodhan police on Wednesday recovered 24 tolas of gold, one kg silver and Rs.5,000 cash involved in last month’s theft in the house of Palakurthi Sayanna in the town with the arrest of habitual offenders Yerukala Ilu alias Ashok, Lakshmi, Bingi Bayanna and Yenkavva.
Local DSP R Venkateshwarlu, who produced the thieves before the media later, said the gang led by Ilu had equally shared the booty.
He said the gang members had broken into the locked house and committed theft on October 26 between 2 and 3.30 pm. Following the complaint lodged by Sayanna, the police took up meticulous investigation and on information nabbed the gang.
The DSP complimented Bodhan SHO Surender Reddy, Sub-Inspectors of Police Govind and Prabhakar, constables Santosh, Sayanna and Aizaz for their good work.
