The principal judge of CBI cases Gayathri Devi sentenced Mohammed Khaja Khadeeruddin, the then social security officer, Programme Implementation and Controller of Inspections, Employees State Insurance Corporation Regional Office, Gunadala, Vijayawada, to four years of rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 for demanding and accepting a bribe from a complainant. 

Visakhapatnam: The principal judge of CBI cases Gayathri Devi sentenced Mohammed Khaja Khadeeruddin, the then social security officer, Programme Implementation and Controller of Inspections, Employees State Insurance Corporation Regional Office, Gunadala, Vijayawada, to four years of rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 for demanding and accepting a bribe from a complainant.

After pronouncement of judgment, the convict was sent to central prison, Visakhapatnam to undergo the sentence. A CBI release on Friday said the accused by abusing his position as public servant, demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 and was caught redhanded while accepting the amount from the complainant who is the husband of owner of a garment manufacturing agency in Vijayawada, for not bringing their trainees under insurance coverage and for not imposing fine against them and to close the case.
