Man, expecting a son kills newborn baby girl in Warangal

A man allegedly killed his newborn baby girl in Warangal on Friday as he wanted a boy. The incident took place at Nellikuduru village of Mothirajupalli mandal.

The accused, identified as Eshwar hailed from Katta Kaluva Tanda and has two daughters.

His wife Anitha delivered a baby girl again at a primary health care centre in Warangal. Eshwar, who was expecting a son was disappointed and spoke to the doctors saying that he didn’t want the child.

The hospital staff counseled him and sent them home. However, the accused after reaching him reportedly killed the newborn.

The police have registered a case and arrested Eshwar. Further investigation is underway.
