Kakinada: On the occasion of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu winding up his padayatra on Sunday, former president of Kakinada town TD unit Dusurlapudi Ramaraju performed special pujas at the temple of Lord Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam. Submitting a petition to the deity, he urged that the party president should be successful in his mission and the country should progress. TNTUC town unit secretary Chilukuri Manojkumar and other party leaders participated in the concluding ceremony of Vastunna Meekosam.

In the petition, Mr Ramaraju urged that Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy should be blessed with ethical values and good behaviour.A Later, talking to the media, he said the MLA's behaviour was ridiculous in that he criticised Mr Chandrababu Naidu and performed 'japams' and 'homams' to ward off evil. "All such actions will reflect badly against the MLA," he said.

Dwarampudi, against his promise to the people, joined YSR Congress Party, he pointed out. The TDP leaders 'cleansed' the areas where Dwarampudi performed 'japam' and 'homam' with disinfectant, he said.A Party workers Kollambathula Appa Rao, Chilakuri Manoj Kumar, Madduri Balakrishna, Pandhiri Chandrasekhar, Prabba Raju and others participated.
