4,200-kg laddu for K’bad Ganesh
Suruchi Foods in Tapeswaram in East Godavari district has prepared a 4,200-kg laddu for Khairatabad Ganesh in Hyderabad. It will be transported on September 8 to be placed in the hands of 56-foot-tall idol in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan the next day. According to proprietor of Suruchi Foods, P V V S Mallikharjuna Rao, who is popularly known as Malli Babu, 16 persons had taken Ganesh Deeksha on August 31 for making the laddu.

Rajahmundry: Suruchi Foods in Tapeswaram in East Godavari district has prepared a 4,200-kg laddu for Khairatabad Ganesh in Hyderabad. It will be transported on September 8 to be placed in the hands of 56-foot-tall idol in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan the next day. According to proprietor of Suruchi Foods, P V V S Mallikharjuna Rao, who is popularly known as Malli Babu, 16 persons had taken Ganesh Deeksha on August 31 for making the laddu.
Their task began at 6.30 am on Friday and was completed at 6.30 pm. They used 1,600 kg of sugar, 1,000 kg of Bengalgram, 900 kg of cow ghee, 200 kg of cashew, 100 kg of almond and 50 kg of elaichi for making a huge laddu. It weighs 700 kg heavier than the one offered to Khairathabad Ganesh last year.
