Interestingly among the total applicants, 16,000 were girls who favour the varsity for its cosmo culture and good atmosphere. The remaining 21,500 were boys who sent their applications to various courses at UoH. Among the applications received about 18,400 are from the general category, about 7,200 are from SC category, about 2,900 from the ST category and about 9,000 from the OBC category.

Only 394 applications were received offline while the rest were processed online. “This shows that our effort to make the process completely online is received positively. We will continue this in the years to come,” a top exam official of the varsity told The Hans India.

UoH has decided to advance its admission test in an attempt to take away the cream of students to its fold. Other varsities conduct admission tests in May and some like Osmania even in July-August.
