IEEMA inks pact with IEEE. The Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association has signed an initial agreement with The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to promote collaboration on initiatives including skill development, training, capacity building, research and publications.

New Delhi: The Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association has signed an initial agreement with The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to promote collaboration on initiatives including skill development, training, capacity building, research and publications.

The MoU between IEEMA and IEEE will enhance sharing of knowledge and global experiences in key areas of electrical and electronics sectors, in addition to strengthening competencies and skill development of organisations, working professionals and students, IEEMA said in a statement.
IEEMA is the apex association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India.
It has around 800 member organisations encompassing the complete value chain in power generation, transmission and distribution equipment, with membership base ranging from public sector enterprises and multinational companies to small, medium and large companies.
IEEE has members in over 160 countries and focuses on advancing the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, computer engineering, computer science and related technologies.
