Hyderabad: ICBM-School of Business Excellence (ICBM- SBE) organised a lecture titled ‘The Three Mistakes of My Life, as a Young Professional’ on Saturday. The lecture was organised to bridge the gap between industry and academics.

The panel members consisted of experts from different fields, who shared their career experiences with the students. SK Naresh, retired Navy Commander, Chief Operations Officer, Samar Ramachandra Associates stressed upon the need for entrepreneurs for the growth of the country and encouraged the students to do what they love to do the most. He urged the students to explore various opportunities that life provides and follow their passion with self-belief.
IVS Ranganath, Head HR, Signode India, urged the students to introspect from the errors to form firm convictions. “Lot of decisions would look like mistakes to begin with, but stick to them with commitment and with courage as they teach you how to turn the tide to succeed,” he said.
Baba Kishore Mutta, Manager-Finance (PPP), IVRCL, emphasised the necessity of learning from wrong professional choices, stating 'introspection is the key for success’. He recounted some incidents to highlight the pressures of organisational hierarchy and provided clues to cap emotions at the workplace.
“Career is a marathon where the key to success is to time the release of energy,” Mamata Vegunta, Head HR, Invesco, said.
“The only way to know when to hold on and let things go is by learning through mistakes,” he added.
