91% attendance for ICET in state. The state-wide Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) was held peacefully on Friday.

Warangal: The state-wide Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) was held peacefully on Friday. 1,42,462 students applied for the test of which 1, 29, 529 students appeared at 263 examination centres, informed the ICET-2014 convener Prof. Om Prakash.

The attendance was about 91 per cent, he added.

Prior to the commencement of the examination, AP State Council for Higher Education chairman Prof. L Venugopal Reddy selected Set- B question paper at the KU Senate Hall through lottery.

He appreciated the efforts of Kakatiya University authorities for conducting the examination for the third time in a row in an efficient manner.

The university registrar Prof. K Sayulu informed that the primary key of the test would be released on May 26. Objections over the key could be submitted on or before June 3. The results would be announced on June 9.

The university incharge vice-chancellor RM Dobrial and ICET Warangal region coordinator Prof. M Subramanya Sharma were present during the selection of question paper.

The KU registrar, ICET convener, University College principal N Rama Swamy, its vice principal K Damodar Rao, Arts College principal Prof. G Bhadru Naik and others inspected the examination centres to monitor the conduct of the test.
