New Delhi: India has awarded scholarships to 23 Gambian students through the Indian Council for Cultural Relationship (ICCR), reports said on Wednesday. According to the ICCR, the scholarships are meant for the students to pursue bachelor of technology (B Tech) course in various universities in India. The students accompanied by one coordinator from the Ministry of Higher Education, traveled to India on Tuesday for admission. The Gambian government said this latest development is a clear testimony of the ever-growing relationship between India and The Gambia.
