In such a scenario, having separate question papers for the Intermediate exam may create confusion and chaos as marks of Class 12 board marks are taken into consideration while calculating final EAMCET ranks.
Officials are inclined towards common intermediate exams for this year, without any changes. Right now, evaluation of answer sheets for Class 12 state board exams is taking place separately in both the states but having separate question papers could complicate things further.
If next intermediate exams (to be held in March 2015) had to be held separately, the bifurcation process of the Board of Intermediate Examination (BIE) should have begun last month. But a unanimous decision on the matter is yet to be taken.
AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that he would discuss the issue with the Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Recently, AP and Telangana CM overcame their repugnance of each other to hug each other at the occasion of ‘Allai Ballai’ get-together which was organized by Bandaru Dattatreya (a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader) in Hyderabad. ESL Narasimhan, Governor of the two states, was also present at the event and stressed the need for cordial relations between the two states.
