Karimnagar Girl gets Rs 75 Lakh Google Job Offer

Karimnagar: When female infanticide was rampant and the birth of baby girl was felt as a burden across the country, a girl from Karimnagar district does not only her parents proud but also entire country. The girl, who brought laurels to the Telangana State, is Meghana who hails from Jujulraopeta village in Kusumanchi mandal of Karimnagar district.
Meghana, who was pursuing Computer Science from IIT Mumbai, was offered Rs 75 lakh per annum during the campus placements by Google. She secured 52nd rank in IIT in 2010. Similarly, a lad from Kavirajnagar in Karimnagar, Harishchandra, who was studying Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur, too, secured a job in Cisco Software Company with a salary of Rs 56 lakh per annum.
Incidentally, both of them belong to Karimnagar district. They stated that they climbed the success ladder with encouragement from their parents. Meghana, who is in fourth year of CSE, is a bright student, while her parents are working. The people of Karimnagar district are feeling proud of her achievement as she brought accolades to the district. Meanwhile, she hogged the limelight as the media across the country highlighted the achievement of Meghana.
Similarly, Harishchandra was offered Rs 56 lakh by the Cisco Software Company during the campus selections. His father Jaganmohan Rao was working as a field officer in National Child Labour Rehabilitation Scheme, while his mother Prameelarani was working as a Deputy Tahsildar in Nelakondapally in Khammam district.
Harishchandra had schooling in a local school and he was a topper in school. Apart from studies he also played tennis and won rewards at the national and state levels.
His parents were on cloud nine with the achievement of their son.
