In my teaching journey, I have seen many kids struggling to write an Essay and copying from various books and internet. Essay can be simple, persuasive, expository, argumentative and autobiography.
Every Essay whether it is three para essay or five para essay, has its own style and format which one needs to consider and follow carefully. Let me give the pointers to show the style and procedure of Essay Writing:

1. Main Idea: Introduce the main idea first. For example: If one is writing on The President of India, focus should be on the President and his details as in his name, birthdate and year of birth, birthplace, qualification, and etc. The main idea should encompass all those key points of that theme. Research the topic and get into writing.

2. Sub topics: Move to the sub topics. What made him to the position of the President? ?List down the major role he played in the key and recent events. The journey of the president from early age to the current one. Write all the key points and develop into a paragraph. A serial order of events would give a good impression to the readers.
3. Conclusion: Summarize the key points in the last paragraph. Conclude with his recent development in his career or a major policy initiation by him which changed and made the country reach to the success podium. In this paragraph, one can conclude with a nice quote or philosophical sentences to get extra brownie points.
Essay is in itself a short story. Make sure that each point is started fresh in a new paragraph. Remember, a well organized Essay scores more than the poorly written one.
