Many opined that they had to deal with many indirect questions while the pattern remained similar. The highest ever number of aspirants i.e around 1200 people attended for the mains exam. The new pattern in continued for the second time.

However there are some minor differences in the number of questions in a few papers. Deviating from the traditional pattern of one topic in the General Essay, now the aspirants had to write two essays.

While for those who are making their second or third appearance were able to cope up easily, first-timers felt some shocker surprises in the paper.
