why is the film industry adopting bahubali technologies, how to set up goals in life …these are the discussions which motivated hundreds of students who participated in GUSAC Carnival-2015 here on Friday at GITAM University.
The student community were thrilled to see the modern icons and also showed interest to interact with them. While sharing the experiences Digital Desh representative Prathibha Sastry encouraged the students to use their smart phones as business models.
In her presentation she mentioned that even the fishermen community is using whats app to sell their product from sea at Karnataka coast and also mentioned about how the people are using same application to sell their products .
She observed that 95% of the business in some parts of the country is happening with smart phones and whatsapp is a new sales force for small business people.
Having gained reputation worldwide for their management practices and exceptional organisational skills, the Mumbai Dabbawalas are an inspiring story for any management student.
On Friday, Dr Pawan G Agarwal, CEO of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association delivered a riveting talk on the origins and operational models of the Dabbawalas.
Dr Agarwal himself has completed a PhD thesis on ‘A Study of Logistics and Supply Chain Management of Dabbawalas in Mumbai’. The Dabbawalas have an international fan following amongst corporates.
“We are successful in delivering tiffin boxes in an error-free manner because of our excellent time management, precision in planning and sheer hard work and dedication,” he said adding that a meticulous supply system was necessary to maintain customer satisfaction.
While sharing his views he answered several questions raised by students. Large number of students gathered at film festival hall to know the experiences of noted technical team members of telugu film industry.
The film editor Marthand mesmerized the students with his talk how the technical part is equally important to a film. He mentioned that if any one loves any profession that itself is an art form and gives ocean of lessons.
The other film industry people particularly music director K Raghu shared his experiences. As part of GUSAC Carnival-2015 the organizers arranged a workshop with world reputed company apple.
The participants are also shown much interest to involve in 3D printing, Automobile design, App Development in workshops arranged by organizing committee.
The student community enjoyed the mega cultural show, particularly music fever passed by Siddardh Mahadevan.
