Dr G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Raksha Mantri & Secretary Department of Defence R&D conferred engineering degrees to Technical Entry Scheme Officers

1. Dr G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Raksha Mantri & Secretary Department of Defence R&D conferred engineering degrees to Technical Entry Scheme Officers (TES-25) in a smartly conducted Convocation Ceremony at Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad. It was indeed a rare honour for the technical student officers to receive their degrees and awards from the Scientific Advisor to the Raksha Mantri & Secretary Department of Defence R&D in presence of their families.

Speaking on the occasion Dr G Satheesh Reddy said “Learning is a continuous process and we should crave for learning with application of our knowledge across the entire spectrum right from exploring new horizons in Defenece Technologies and social and developmental issues”. The impressive Ceremony was attended by a host of senior dignitaries from military and civil authorities and an august gathering of more than 400 service personnel and their families.

2. While delivering the inaugural address Lieutenant General Gurmukh Singh, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal**, Commandant MCEME said “I am sure your realize that this graduation is by no way a summit of your education but is only a springboard that should propel you towards further professional growth in pursuit of terminal objective”. He added learning is not finite, it is a lifelong process. The General officer is also the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME.

4. The graduating officers have to design & fabricate projects that meet the requirements of the Field Army, as also to demonstrate their knowledge in futuristic technologies as part of their training curriculum. Major General Sanjeev Khanna, Deputy Commandant & Chief Instructor, MCEME said, “Dr G Satheesh Reddy was highly impressed with the quality of student projects and he complimented the College for the same”.

5. Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad was established in 1946. Over the years the College has developed into a premier training institution of the Indian Army. It’s a five time recipient of Golden Peacock Award for Training, Quality of ISO-9001 certification and Prime Minister Award for four Student Projects. MCEME is affiliated to JNTU and JNU for its M Tech, B Tech and Engineering Diploma program.
