Students advised to visit villages to take up live projects
If one can identify, feel and solve problems of the common man using technology, it would be useful to society, and professional students should go the villages to take up real live projects for creating devices or implements for such purposes, explained National Innovation Foundation Coordinator for Telangana and AP States and Palle Srujana Founder President Brigadier Pogula Ganesham
​Hyderabad: ‘If one can identify, feel and solve problems of the common man using technology, it would be useful to society, and professional students should go the villages to take up real live projects for creating devices or implements for such purposes’, explained National Innovation Foundation Coordinator for Telangana and A.P. States and ‘Palle Srujana’ Founder- President Brigadier Pogula Ganesham while interacting with 500 B.Pharm., B.Tech. and MBA students in a one- day workshop on “Creativity and Innovations” held here on Wednesday, at Tagarapuvalasa in the Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Brig. Ganesham offered to provide Internships to Avanthi Institute’s students using the help of real life innovators whom he scouted through ‘Chinna Shodh Yatras’ Palle Srujana conducted on regular basis by walking over 4,000 kms. in more than 100 villages so far in A.P. and Telangana States along with several students, professors, scientists, officials, software heads, IAS aspirants, movie makers, etc. from top- class institutions/ organisations. The next such yatra, which is the 29th, is scheduled from December 21-23 in Mahbubabad villages, and he invited students to participate to explore grassroots knowledge.
Avanthi Institute’s Principal Dr. S.N.V. Ganesh called upon students to utilize this opportunity to gain, so that with some pain they train the brain to think and act differently for becoming useful to the society, for which everyone need to contribute for the sake of giving back what they got till now and afterwards. He mentioned that he and the college management headed by Member of Parliament as well as the Avanthi Group Chairman M. Srinivasa Rao would do everything to support the cause of creative ideas so that implementation would yield positive benefits to not only the college but also the whole community.
Earlier, Brig. Ganesham inaugurated a MBA Students association “Creativity Concerns” with tagline ‘Igniting Ideas- Innovations- Inventions’ meant for students from all the departments in the college to discuss as well as deliver new concepts developed, if necessary in collaboration with ‘Palle Srujana’ innovators, many of whom have won National/ International Awards and few even the “Padma Shri”. HOD- MBA Prof. K.V. Satya Prakash would be the facilitator for promotion of creativity and Innovations apart from connecting with Brig. Ganesham or the ‘Palle Srujana’ team to bring out newness always.
Director- HR Dr. A. Chandra Sekhar, HOD- ECE Bhaskara Rao, HOD- BS & H Prof. Patnaik, HOD- Civil Venkatesh and other Faculty from all the departments actively participated in the above workshop. While E. Devasree anchored the whole event, Students Representative Rohini proposed vote of thanks. Almost all the students interacted with Brig. Ganesham and his associate Shyam, who earlier was top Software Professional now committed to spreading the need for creativity awareness amongst students in all parts of the country. Many of the participated students felt that they benefitted from workshop.
