Hyderabad: Hyderabad students’ wing of Kalakruthi is being organising the third edition of three-days GITAM Model United Nations (GMUN) at GITAM (Deemed to be University) campus from 20-22 December 2018. The motto of this event is to encourage new talents and thinking ahead in the fast-changing world. The MUN is run just like the real United Nations in New York with the same officers and committees right up to the Security Council.
Prof. V Govardhana Rao, Retd. Professor, IIT Bombay greased as chief guest for inaugural session on Thursday. ‘Try to understand other’s vision. Without listening to other’s version, you cannot voice your opinion. After careful listening only we can come to a common viewpoint’ he exhorted.
Prof. N Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, Hyderabad inaugurated the GMUN and released the e-copy of KNOW (an in-house journal). He said that we should able to convince others and it helps to get good placements or settling in the chosen profession. He wished that the participants of GMUN should lead the nation in the coming years.
GITAM Resident Director DVVSR Varma, School of Science Principal Prof. G A Rama Rao, School of Architecture Director Prof. Sunil Kumar, Students Affairs Director Prof. A Sreeram also took part in the inaugural ceremony.
