Wipro-Nature Forever Society Call For Entries for the Sparrow Awards 2015. The Sparrow Awards Call for Entries was announced today.
MUMBAI: The Sparrow Awards Call for Entries was announced today. The Sparrow Awards is the result of a collaboration between Wipro and Nature Forever Society. Now, in its fifth edition, the Sparrow Award recognises commendable work done in the area of environmental conservation by non-professional conservationists.
Mohammed Dilawar, Founder and President, Nature Forever Society, said, “Right from its inception, the Sparrow Awards have been honouring unsung environmental heroes. Applicants must demonstrate how they have brought about positive transformation to the environment around them. The cash award is a small incentive given to help individuals and organisations continue conserving the natural world. We hope the Sparrow Awards becomes an inspiration for citizens from all walks of lives to think of innovative ways to conserve the natural world.’’

Applications are being accepted now till Feb. 15, 2015 and winners will be announced on World Sparrow Day on Mar. 20, 2015. World Sparrow Day (WSD) which is celebrated in over 30 countries , was initiated by Nature Forever Society. The Sparrow Awards also accepts nominations across areas of environmental conservation.
