CtrlS Datacenters Ltd has won the prestigious ‘Energy Efficient Unit’ award at the 16th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2015 conducted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The award was given for the Company’s outstanding contribution in the field of electrical energy, HVAC, and other innovations leading to energy efficiency and conservation through innovation and several pro-active measures adopted over the years.

CtrlS Datacenters Ltd has won the prestigious ‘Energy Efficient Unit’ award at the 16th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2015 conducted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The award was given for the Company’s outstanding contribution in the field of electrical energy, HVAC, and other innovations leading to energy efficiency and conservation through innovation and several pro-active measures adopted over the years.

A total of 246 applications were received from industry leaders across segments like automobile, building, cement, chemical, engineering, fertilizer, FMCG, power, refinery, fertilizer, paper, pulp etc. Over fifty percent plus were short listed to make the final presentation at HICC, Hyderabad. The presentations were further evaluated by an expert panel. CtrlS won the coveted `Energy Efficient Unit’ award through the above process.

According to a report published by Government of India on Energy Efficiency and Energy Mix in the Indian Energy System, the electricity demand across commercial buildings is set to increase almost 300% to 238 billion units of electricity in 2030. Hence, every single effort made towards energy efficiency shall help in conserving the same.
The objective of the CII National Award for Excellence in Energy Management Awards is to recognize and award “Excellence” in Energy Management in Industries and to facilitate sharing of information by excellent energy efficient companies. According to CII, the companies are short-listed based on the questionnaire. The short-listed companies are the invited to make a presentation at the competition. Finally, based on the presentation the panel of judges select the best amongst the short listed are awarded.
