While scores of stargazers can't wait to watch this spectacle, a few conspiracy theorists have predicted a doomsday. Several vidoes on YouTube that explains the repercussions that these cosmic events will have on earth have gone viral. A few prophesiers are signalling the end of earth saying there is going to be massive destruction if the 30-metre long TX 68 asteroid hits the Earth instead of skimming past it.

When the asteroid collides with the earth, it could affect the earth's magnetic field causing massive destruction, claim Doomsday preachers.

NASA rubbishes rumours

Dubbing these doomsday theories baseless, the NASA has said that the asteroid, which was supposed to skim past earth on March 5, will pass by around 3 million miles from Earth.
