Four forest department staff arrested after 7th rhino poached in Kaziranga

Poachers killed another one horned rhino in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park (KNP) and shopped off its horn.Forest officials of the world heritage site had found the carcass of a male rhino near Karati village outside the sixth addition of the park in Biswanath district on Monday.

With this, poachers killed seven one horned rhinoceros in the national park in this year so far.In 2015, the national park had lost 16 rhinos which were poached.

On the other hand, four forest department staff were arrested on Monday at Jakhalabandha area in Nagaon district on the charge of hiding the carcass of a rhino which killed in October last year.

Security forces also apprehended four poachers.
