Expressing their solidarity with the Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who had completed one year as an undertrial in Chanchalguda prison, a large number of supporters and followers of the YSR family joined the YSRCP activists in taking out a candle light rally on the Necklace road on Monday evening. Y S Vijayamma and Y S Bharati were among the leaders who led the rally.
Speaking on the occasion Bharati questioned rationale behind keeping Y S Jagan behind bars for one year and filing chargesheets against him without allowing him the scope to disprove the charges made against him. She pointed that the Jagan was entitled for bail after 90 days of custody. The treatment meted out to him was not fair.
A host of leaders of the YSRCP denounced the arrest of Jagan. P Vijaya Reddy, YSRCP leader, supervised the programme organised on the occasion. Telugu film actors Raja and Vijay Chander were among those who participated in the programme.
