Party IT cell congratulates Kishen Reddy for 21,000 FB likes and 10,000 Twitter following
Hyderabad: Thanking social media supporters for their continued patronage, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state chief G Kishen Reddy exhorted young software professionals to garner more support to the party through their online campaign.
He was speaking at the 'offline meet with online supporters' programme organised by IT cell of the party at the State office in Nampally on Sunday. Around 400 IT professionals, who are continuously supporting the party in their internet forums participated and shared their thoughts on current political scenario and various socio-economic issues affecting the country.
The IT cell team also congratulated Kishen Reddy on attaining more than 21,000 likes on his Facebook account and 10,000 followers on Twitter. Kiran Kalluri, the IT cell convener, explained how US President Barack Obama effectively utilised social media during his campaign, both for fund raising and creating an emotional connect with his supporters.
The meet discussed about the plans to increase social media presence of the party and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the city. Film director Madhura Sridhar, producer Sridhar Rao, IT cell members Rohit, Raghu, Parimala, Sumanth, Ravi and Shiv also took part in the programme.
