The ambiance is quite rustic and elegantly done, the color combinations of orange and brown shade compliments the rustic look. The restaurant in itself is quite huge with a PDR that can accommodate approx. 25 people.

We started our gourmet experience with different platter of sushis. The first of the lot was Crispy Cottage Cheese Tempura & Vegetable Makki. The vegetable makki without any hint of wasabi & tempura in itself was very good, while the shawar maki& crab meat sushis were simply delightful. But of the lot I fell for Vegetable Makki & cottage cheese tempura. I liked the fact that cottage cheese tempura was a different take on the sushi which was a fried variant of it, This was a definite show stopper. The chicken noodle soup for accompaniment was just decent but nothing extraordinary.

Garlic bread with marinated olives & Foccaccia with olive melt was an interesting start after the sushi experience, On the look wise, both were quite appalling, especially the taste of the olives. The grilled prawns with grilled bok choy was super good, the prawns were succulent and quite flavorful. The bok choy or the Chinese cabbage perfectly complimented the prawns.

Baby corn tempura with wasabi mayonnaise was liked by all, a special mention for the wasabi mayonnaise which was quite distinct in its flavor. The dragon prawns with roasted cashews was another delight in the oriental section which I couldn’t resist but go for a repeat. Chicken Satay with spicy peanut sauce was different take on what I know about satay. The spicy peanut sauce complimented the satay quite well.

The achaari paneer tikka was good in its own league, the quality of the panner used was brilliant. The oriental chicken drummettes was super good, crispy and well made. The chicken tikka was a too strong for my liking, however the chicken was quite tender and good.

The healthy mix served on multi grain bread would perfectly suit the healthy conscious folks. The crispy chicken burger in ciabatta bun was a different take on the burger, would’ve loved it even more had it been a little more juicy.

From the greens, the Salad nicoise with seared tuna and egg was one of the different kinds of salad ive had, had it not been for the citronette dressing it would’ve been an average take. The green apple carpaccio was quite crunchy, ive always been a fan of a proper carpaccio with feta and walnut, this was 5/5 for it.

The involtini di pollo dint quite match up to my expectations and so was the classic margarita pizza. Infact the Italian section is something which needs a little more attention.

I liked the classic stir fired chicken sauce which went well with jasmine sticky rice, the hot & numbing vegetables in Sichuan sauce was decent enough,

The Indian mains was next to follow, the bread basket had olive naan & butter naan that went well with Palak Panneer & kadhai chicken which were satisfactory, but the star among them was the Dal tadka which simply blew us away. The biryani was a passé !

From the deserts, the classic Tiramisu was the first to follow, what I liked about this is instead of the coffee flavor, the toppings of coffee beans which enhanced the taste of the tiramisu quite well. The lemon tart with saffron cream though it was good, was quite strong for my liking. The Philadelphia baked cheese cake with blueberry crompte was outstanding, perhaps the best ive had in the recent times.

An interaction with chef Vijay bhaskar will give you an assurance of where the expertise of such awesome food, come from. The service was top notch and every minute detail were taken care of.

Overall, with the quality of food and huge spread of food offered, iam pretty sure in few month all roads will lead to Jonathan’s kitchen for a gastronomical experience of Global cuisine. Thumbs up for this one !
