The counting of votes for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election will begin at 3 PM on Friday. The counting of all the 149 Divisions for which polling was held on February 2 has began. However, as the re-poll will continue till 5pm, results will be announced only after 5pm.
Will keep every promise made to people in GHMC: KTR As per the latest trendss, the TRS has won in 70 out of the 150 wards in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). It is also leading in many other other wards. TRS is leading in 110, MIM in 32, BJP-TDP in 6, Congress in 1, others in 0. It is a known fact that IT Minister KTR took the GHMC elections as a prestigious contest and worked round the clock to give maximum visibility to TRS. pHe toured many wards in the city and conducted public meetings at several places. pHe strategically countered his political rivals including Nara Lokesh. Finally, the result shows that all his efforts have not gone in vain. TheTRS is going to get a landslide victory in the GHMC polls. Interestingly, the TRS won in many divisions where highest number of settlers live in. Former Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in Hyderabad Banda Karthika Reddy was defeated in this polls. Karthika Reddy, who contested on behalf of the Congress, was defeated by TRS candidate Alakunta Saraswathi. pAs per the latest trends, TRS is leading with majorty of divisions, while the MIM is in second place. TDP and BJP combine is in the third place while the Congress stands at the fourth place. TRS is said to be leading in as many as 100 divisons, while MIM in 40 divisons. The GHMC commissioner will announce the results at 5.30 pm. TRS is leading in 100, MIM in 35, BJP-TDP in 10, Congress in 4, others in 1. The GHMC commissioner is all set to announce the first result and three rounds of counting have been completed in all the counters. Going by the trends at the counting centers, the ruling TRS is leading in majority of divisions. The TRS is leading in Madhapur where TDP hoped to win. The TRS is said to be leading in Mettuguda, Milardevpalli and Amberpet divisions. TRS candidate lead in Madhapur with 973, Miyapur with 458 votes, while the TDP leads in Hydernagar 43% polling registered at Puranapul repolling till 3pm. As many as 1,674 tables were arranged in 88 halls to count the votes. It is said that it is taking 15 for each round and the first round has been completed. The counting has been done in 24 centers and results will be announced after 827 rounds. Divisions like Saroornagar,RK Puram, Champapet, Gaddi annavaram, Yusuf Guda, Sanath Nagar, Monda market, Kottapeta and Puranapul will be announced in the last. Dattatreyanagar, Akbarbag, Reinbazar and Nawab Sahebkunta will be announced after completing three rounds. The First result will be announced at 5.30 pm. GHMC commissioner Janardhan Reddy will announce the first results. Political parties are waiting with bated breath for the first result.
