Modi is a liar, say Gandhis

New Delhi: “O God, save the nation, from such (Gujarat) a model,” stated Congress president Sonia Gandhi, targeting BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, on his developmental plank. At another rally, Rahul Gandhi, in a direct attack on Modi, called him a liar, saying that while 8,000 farmers died in his State, he kept on claiming that no farmer died.

Addressing a rally in Gujarat, the Congress vice-president accused Modi of repeating “Main, Main, Main, Main” (I) several times, for taking sole credit for the Gujarat model. He said that if Lokayukta was appointed in Gujarat, Modi would go to jail. He accused Modi of sidelining all senior leaders like L K Advani, Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha and Sushma Swaraj. “Modi does not need Advani, as he has Adani now,” he remarked, pointing out his alleged links with the industrialist.

Rahul’s attack on Modi comes a day after when Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashed out at him for the RSVP jibe, advising him to go beyond ABCD and educate the masses on what he intends to do for the people. Priyanka, of late, has been hitting out at Modi, while campaigning for her brother and mother in Amethi and Rae Bareli as never before, attacking him for distributing precious land for peanuts.

In a no-holds-barred attack against Narendra Modi, the Gandhis lashed out at him, targeting his Gujarat model of governance and replying to his barbs against the family. The Gandhis, who initially, had kept mum on Modi, restraining themselves from making any personalized comments, have finally decided to hit out at him. Realizing that being calm and subdued would not fetch them any additional votes or media attention, the trio – Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka – have decided to hit out at Modi on his developmental plank.
